WordPress handles menu highlighting automatically, but only if the page you’re visiting is in the menu. It is very common that you will be on a page that isn’t in the menu and will want the closest match in the menu to be highlighted. This plugin solves that problem by using the URL to find the closest match and highlight the correct menu item.
